Check-In Instructions for a Perfect Wedding

Check in is 3pm unless you have organized different timing with our team.

The Basics

  • When you arrive, pull straight forward into the circle drive. The door will be unlocked and the key will be in the windowsill next to the door inside the house. If you’ve booked the East Wing only, the door next to the fridge will be locked.

  • On the East Wing, you are welcome to anything in the fridge or cabinets. There are small drawers inside the large drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets which is where you will find items like silverware.

If you’ve also booked the West Wing, the kitchen fridge and cabinets are filled with the owner's personal food items. Feel free to place items in the fridge or cabinets but items on this wing of the house are not for public use.

  • There are 3 thermostats on the East Wing:

    1. The living room

    2. The fireplace suite on the first floor

    3. The 2nd floor at the top of the stairs

There is 1 thermostat on the West Wing behind the TV in the master suite.

Each thermostat controls the zone it's in. Please do not reprogram the thermostats.

Please do not turn the thermostat all the way up or down and then open the windows as this can cause expensive damage.

  • The chickens are friendly and are often roaming the property, please be careful when pulling into the driveway and always keep dogs on a leash. Someone will be by in the morning and evening to feed the chickens but will respect your privacy during your stay.

  • Feel free to roam around the trails as much as you like within the property lines. The land beyond the chain link fence is private, so please don't go on to our neighbor's property.

Tips To Avoid Charges

We want to return your full security deposit back to you so we’ve put together some tips to help. We completely understand accidents happen and you are extremely busy on your wedding day so if you’d like to share this list with a family member, friend or your coordinator, we’d highly recommend it.

  1. Be mindful of the thermostats. We want you to be comfortable but occasionally guests will turn the AC on high and also open all the windows and doors. This can break our heating and cooling system, if this happens it costs thousands of dollars to replace. Because of this, if we notice that this is happening we do charge a $200 fee and you are financially responsible if the system breaks so please help us avoid this.

  2. Have guests take off their shoes when on the carpet. Extreme dirt means that we have to get the carpet cleaned after your stay which is a $200 fee.

  3. If you’re planning extra large parties that we don’t know about, please let us know now. We’re very understanding but we need to know about any parties over 30 guests, especially if there is alcohol being served. Please let us know as soon as possible to avoid any issues.

  4. If you need to move furniture, please move it back. We understand you may need to move furniture to accommodate the needs of your guests. Please move the furniture back before you check-out.

  5. No extremely large bonfires. During your wedding day you will have a fire manager to help manage the fires but when you’re on your own we ask that you do not have excessively large fires to ensure a forest fire is not started.
